I recently received a Facebook post from my buddy Kevin Molloy's wife Erin, asking if I could put back up the race video of him. Turns out in shuffling around servers and websites (my day job), a page we had dedicated to him got lost in the moves.
In anticipation of our "Old School Audi Club Guy" reunion trip to the Petit Lemans at Road Atlanta in a few weeks, I thought it would be nice to dust off the video from the last time we drove Blood Mountain back in 2003. The video includes highlights from driving Hwy180 (Wolf Pen Gap Rd) and Hwy129.
What an incredible end to the ALMS session at Laguna Seca. I'm sure Jorg Bergmister (in the Flying Lizard #45 Porsche) had flashbacks to the last lap of the 2007 12 Hours of Sebring and wasn't going to let that happen again. The Corvettes are already a force to be reckon with in GT2. Next season is going to be awesome.
Finally a first look at the new BMW M3 ALMS GT2 racer in action. Rumor has it that it will debut in the Petit LeMans at Road Atlanta in October. This thing is bad ass!
Watch this incredible video on the last lap of the 2007 Japanese GP, in absolutely diabolical conditions, Felipe Massa (Red Ferrari) and Robert Kubica (White BMW Sauber) battle to the bitter end for 6th place. As you will see, these gentlemen were not constrained in anyway by basic elements like pavement under the car.
This is a promotional video the BMW works team put out for the E46 M3 GTR that spanked everyone back in 2004. It features some crazy in-car video with Hans Struck on the Nurburgring and Jorg Muller at Spa. That car is sick.
