Welcome to ViewPointe | a blog about life in the information age
My name is John Studdard and I created ViewPointe as a way to get back on the keyboard just for the fun of it. As a strategic management and technology consultant, most of my time in front of the computer is dedicated to my work and my clients. This site is a chance for me to rant and rave about the cool things I come across in my daily travels.
In addition to being a “gadget guy”, I am also very passionate about motorsports. So even though this is “officially” a tech blog, you may see some of my car stuff sprinkled in every so often.
I have been in technology since 1989, so my career has mirrored the rapid evolution of technology. I started out programming RPG and Cobol on green screens and now help companies manage strategies around Internet broadcast networks, Web 2.0 content and eCommerce as a Managing Partner with Big Couch Media Group. I have held several key executive roles as a CIO/CTO for companies in the software, financial services and ecommerce/internet media industries. If you would like more information or have any questions please get in touch with me through my contact page. I hope you get something useful from the site.
